The Finished Product!

Here's Parker's helicopter after it's been fired! He loves it! I just wish I could make him understand that it's not a toy! I'm so afraid he's going to break it! He just earned enough stickers on his behavior chart to go paint again so we'll see what he'll paint next!

4 Month Comparison Pictures

Here's Jackson and Parker in the 4 month comparison pictures. I still can't get over how much bigger Jackson is!

Jackson is 4 months old today! Aug. 8, 2008

Jackson is 4 months old! He had his 4 month well baby appt.today. He weighs 17lbs., 4oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long! His head is 42cm. The Dr. said he's doing great and that I can start him on baby food. I didn't start Parker until he was 6 months so this seems really early to me. I think I'm going to wait a little longer. If he acts like he needs it I may start him at 5 months, but I think I'd like to wait till 6 months! He's such a tank already! When I look at Parker's baby pictures at this age he's so much smaller and they don't look as much alike. When I look at Parker's older baby pics. they look very similar except that Jackson's hair is so light! Jackson's looking like he might be a little blondie! We'll just have to wait and see if it changes! In the next post I'll put up the 4 month pic. of Parker to compare with Jackson's 4 month pic.

These first 4 months have gone by so fast! Jackson has discovered his toes, toys, and he's trying really hard to sit up on his own. I had a really hard time trying to take these pics. If I sat him up he would lean forward to get his toes but if I leaned him back he kept trying to sit up! He's also rolling over more and using his legs to scoot backwards while he's on his back. I'll put him under the baby gym and when I come back he's scooted partway off the mat. For the most part he's sleeping through the night and if he doesn't it's usually only one time that he wakes me up. I'm still swaddling him and putting him in the swing to sleep, but now I don't even have to turn it on. I think he just likes being upright and feeling so snuggled. I put the pack and play up in our room but when I tried to get him to sleep in it he only lasted about 20 mins. All of a sudden Parker has started waking up several times a night and giving us a hard time about sleeping in his own bed, so I'm not ready to mess up Jackson's sleep routine. I'm afraid I won't get any sleep at all if I do!

Little Man's 1st Tie

Here are some pictures of Jackson wearing his first tie. My mother-in-law made him this adorable onesie. She even embroidered a little airplane on it. I love the second picture where he's doing the thinking pose. In the last pic. he's pointing out the airplane so you don't miss it! :)

In the third pic. you can see that he's found his toes and feet! He's getting really good at lifting his legs up and playing with his feet! His fingers and hands are still his favorite though. He doesn't care for the pucky (pacifier) as much as Parker did. He really likes sucking on his hands. He's been drooling so much lately! I hope this doesn't mean he's getting teeth already! Parker didn't get his first tooth until he was a year old and I'd really like Jackson to do the same. He already picnhes me while he's nursing, I don't want biting on top of that! OUCH!
