Chuck E Cheese

Parker has been to the dentist twice and both times it didn't go very well after they got him in the chair! He would let them count his teeth but that was it! This time I decided to have Jeff take him and see if it would go any better! I'm happy to say he finally got his teeth cleaned! He still didn't like it, but at least they were able to do something! As a reward I took him to Chuck E Cheese in Tucson. He always sees the commercial for it and asks to go. It was perfect timing because we went up and met my Aunt RoseMary, my cousins Gabe and Sonora, and some friends from the mom's group- Tonia, Nathan, Dana, and Hailey. We also got to pick Daddy up at the airport when he came home from NY!

Parker loved Chuck E Cheese! I even had fun! They have a Deal or No Deal game that you can play for tickets! I didn't get the BIG DEAL but still did pretty well! We're definitely going to have to do that more often! It's just too bad the pizza is awful!

The first picture shows an award I got off the Chuck E Cheese website. They have several different reward charts or certificates that you can print out and bring in for free tokens! This one says it's Good Patient Award.

The Father of the Year Award Goes to. . .

... MY HUSBAND!

Jeff had to go to New York for 5 days for a business trip. Right before he left he said, "I need you to do me a big favor. It's going to be time consuming though." After he says this I'm thinking, what in world is he going to ask me to do?! He asked me to type up the several stories and the devotionals for the next 5 nights and email them to him! He called everynight and read them to Parker over the phone! That made me fall in love him with all over again! He's such a wonderful daddy and husband! Parker loved it! He had such a hard time with Daddy being gone for so long! This really helped!

While I was typing up the stories I forgot to put in "turn the page" so Jeff would know when to tell Parker to turn the page. Parker comes in and asks me, "Whatcha doin?" (I love it when he says it like that!) and I told him what Jeff was going to do and that I was typing up his Thomas stories. His next response/question is, "How's he going to know when to turn the page?" He's just too stinkin smart! After he said that I realized I had forgotten to do it and had to go back and put that in! He amazes me everyday with the things he says and does!

These are pictures of Parker and Daddy reading Thomas stories together!

Jackson is 9 Months Old

Well I'm a little late posting these, but here are Jackson's 9 month pictures. He had a 9 month well baby appointment and he's 20 lbs. 10 oz, 27 1/2 inches long, and his head is 47 cm! I guess I'm going to have to move him out of the infant carrier! :( He didn't get shots this time but I had to take him to get blood drawn for a hemoglobin level. I guess that's standard, but I don't remember Parker getting blood drawn until 12 months and they checked for more things. This is a different Dr. than Parker had at 12 mos. (I like this Dr. MUCH better and so does Parker!) Jackson just recently started crawling, pulling himself up, playing peek-a-boo, and clapping. The Dr. said he will probably be walking very soon!

9 Month Comparison Pictures

Here are the 9 month comparison pictures of Parker and Jackson.

Looking back at these old pictures of Parker is so weird. Until I looked at these today I had forgotten how crooked his little neck was! Thankfully he hasn't had any problems since we finished the physical therapy!

I SPY Bottle Game Play Date

Here are some pictures from a play date we had at our house. We made I SPY bottle games. I tired to get a picture of all the kids with their games, but you can see how well that worked out!

Crawling and Pulling Up

Jackson crawled for the first time on Jan. 31st and 2 days later he was pulling himself up in his crib! WOW! Where did the time go?! My baby is growing up way too fast! I don't have any pics. of him crawling for the first time but we did get some video. These pictures are what I found when I went to get him up from a nap a few days later! He can pull himself all the way up in his crib, but he can only get to his knees on the floor. I'm sure it's only going to be a little while now before he's up and walking! UGH! I'm not looking forward to that!

MNO- Fondue Night and Secret Pal Reveal

Here are some pictures from our Mom's Night Out last Wednesday. We had a Fondue Night and combined it with our Secret Pal Reveal. My secret pal was Dana. That night I got to tell her I was her SP for the month of January but I also revealed that I was the person who had been putting ornaments on her tree for the last 3 months! I thought I had some pictures of me with Sandy who was my SP for the month but I don't! She gave me a beautiful clock with the boys picture on it and coasters that she had made with pics of the whole family! Thank you Sandy for all of my wonderful gifts! They're very special to me! I'll have to see if someone else has the pics on their camera.

Side story- At our SP reveal in October Dana was talking about how this was her first Christmas with her husband in their own home and that they didn't have a whole lot of ornaments for their tree. We had also talked earlier in the evening about how funny it would be to leave a SP gift for someone who wasn't your SP. When that person posted her thank you on the message board her real SP would be confused that she got a thank you for a gift she didn't leave. Anyways, after talking about all of this I decided I was going to do this to Dana with Christmas ornaments. Every few days I would sneak up to her house and put an ornament on the tree outside of her front door. I was going to tell her it was me at our SP reveal in November, but I was having too much fun keeping it a secret. When she went to the bathroom I told the other ladies what I was doing so her real SP would know who it was. Then I decided I was going to keep doing it until Christmas. I ended up doing it until the end of January to keep making her crazy. She did finally come to the conclusion it was me after she narrowed down why it couldn't be some of the other ladies! But I had so much fun driving her crazy with it. Her best friend and husband knew it was me and did a great job of keeping it from her! The last picture is her holding the last ornaments that I gave her at the reveal. I took glass ornaments (Thanks Sue Bruce for those) and put pictures of her and her family in them.
PS- I hate the way I look in that picture! To my defense I wasn't feeling good that night! But I never really like the way I look in pics., that's why I'm always behind the camera taking the pics. :)

Pump It Up and the Reid Park Zoo- Jan. 26th

We went to Pump It Up with the play group again. I didn't get as many pics. this time because we got there so late. After that we went to lunch and a few of us went to the Reid Park Zoo. We got to see the animals doing more this time. Usually when we go it's so hot that the animals are lying around or hiding in the shade to keep cool. This time we got to see tortoises "hugging" and making very loud noises! We also got to see one of the elephants and a few of the giraffes up close. Parker liked the dirty polar bear. He was covered in dirt and when Parker first saw him he couldn't understand why he was brown and not white! We had to explain that he had been rolling around in the mud! I think the highlight of the zoo for Parker was taking turns pushing his friend Aiden around in a stroller and then having Aiden push him! I can't believe the umbrella stroller was more fun than all the different animals!
