Parker's 1st Time Bowling

Today was a family day event with the mom's group. We all went bowling! This was Parker's first time bowling with a real bowling ball. (We have the Little Tikes plastic bowling set that he plays with at home.) We had a lot of fun! I got one strike on my own without the bumpers. I got a few others, but the bumpers helped so Jeff said they didn't count. It was so cute to watch Parker throw/roll the ball! One time he threw the ball so hard that he fell backwards and his legs and feet went flying out in front of him! Too bad I didn't have the camcorder going then!

I don't know if I put this in another posting or not, but the mom's group now has a name. We're now calling ourselves SAHM I AM (SAHM= Stay At Home Mom) My dad and my Uncle Rod are trying to start up an embroidery business so we had them make us shirts. You can see them in the pictures. The mom's shirst say "SAHM I AM, est 2008" and the kids shirst say "I'm a SAHM I AM kid, est 2008". Thanks Uncle Rod for all your hard work! The shirts turned out great! I was hoping to get a better picture of the boys and me in our matching shirts today, but like normal Parker didn't want to cooperate for a picture!

My friend Jenn came over the other day so we could catch up and let the kids play. She just found out her husband got a promotion and they're moving to D.C. We're going to miss you guys. I thought we got more pictures than we did! (Jenn-Sorry we didn't get any of Madison! We'll have to do that before you leave!) Wyatt is just a few weeks older than Jackson. He used to be a lot bigger than Jackson but now they're a lot closer in size! Wyatt's a little bit taller though!

I never got a chance to get this Pooh onesie on Jackson and now it's too small on him! I had to squeeze him into it just to take a picture! Parker actually wanted to have his picture taken so we tried with Jackson and you can see how well that went! At least I got one good one of Parker without having to coerce him into sitting still and smiling. Hopefully that mark above his lip will go away soon! (He was playing on PopPop's recliner and got hurt!)

FINALLY CAUGHT UP!

Ok I finally got this caught up! If you haven't been on in the last couple of days you have SEVERAL new pages to catch up on! I still need to write a little more about the Denver's Children's Museum, but I will have to do it later! I need to get off this computer and get stuff done around the house! Enjoy all the new pictures!

Jackson's 1st Words

The other night we were all in Parker's room getting him ready for bed. Daddy had just finished reading him his bedtime story and devotional. We were just about to say prayers and Jackson started babbling. I was trying to get him to say Mama so Jeff started trying to get him to say Dada instead. All of sudden Parker says, "No say Paw kar" We said, "you mean Parker" and he said, "No, Paw kar" We think he's saying it like that (kind of how someone from Long Island might say it) because that's how most kids say his name. His little girlfriend Kira says it that way and he's heard us talking about that. It was so funny! For the last several days he's been trying to get Jackson to say it! It's so cute! Jackson does say Mama but I don't know if it's really just babbling or if he knows what he's saying. I kind of think it's just babbling!

Jackson is 8 Months Old

Well this posting is a little late because technically he's 8 months, 1 week, and 4 days old, but close enough! I'll try and to do better for his 9 month pictures! He still isn't crawling yet, but I think it will be any day now. He's trying so hard! He gets on his knees and rocks but doesn't move his legs. He gets around by rolling or while he's sitting on his bottom he kind of hops! I swear he crawls when I'm not looking though! He loves eating the vegetable puffs and we've given him a couple of biter biscuits. He does really well with them but he's coated in them by the time he's done!
